Sure there are still taboos, even within the rules of this site and the groups most of us frequent. Indeed as compared to society as a whole. Those subjects might be approached here on the site, due to the largely libertarian attitudes of the site owners, but just think how many times you have seen a thread or picture being attacked by almost every respondant. That’s because many things are still taboo even within the fetish community.

I’d be really surprised if most members of this group hadn’t at some point been pounced on by the majority of their commentators for saying something considered taboo – after all, you joined this site
There’s a large majority here who try to play within the idea of ‘safe, sane and consentual’. Since safe and sane are so open to interpretation, that usually means I whole lot of stuff adults do consentually between themselves is seen as ‘unacceptable’ to the majority. Effectively it means that anything the commentor wouldn’t enjoy themselves can be condemned as insane, or unsafe. RACK is slowly changing that, but the SSC crowd and their rules are still dominant IMHO.
